Nashville, Tennessee – Penalty Box Radio will launch Southern Hockey Sin Bin, a website devoted to southern collegiate non-varsity hockey on September 2, 2014.
Southern Hockey Sin Bin (shsb.penaltyboxradio.com)will focus on delivering comprehensive and creative coverage provided by local journalists. Although still in it’s infancy stage, SHSB looks to create a strong community of aspiring journalists that love hockey and want to cover their college team.
“The Southern Hockey Sin Bin is going to change how hockey is covered,” said Penalty Box Radio website manager, Justin Bradford. “We’re taking writers from each area and giving them an opportunity to cover a college hockey team. Our goal is to help students that want to write and cover sports an opportunity to do so and be published where people all around the world will see their work. We’re the first website providing a slate of beat writers for college hockey teams.”
“We want the site to show hockey fans everywhere that the sport is alive and growing in the south,” Bradford said. “It’s going to be a great way for teams to gain exposure and to let students, as well as those in the respective communities, know that they have a place to watch hockey.”
Southern Hockey Sin Bin will feature game recaps, roster and stat pages, as well as feature articles from local journalists.
