Virginia Commonwealth University took the drive down from Richmond, VA on Friday to take on the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats in Blue Ridge Hockey Conference action.  VCU used hard hitting, good offensive zone play along with some defensive prowess to skate by the Wildcats by a score of 15-2.

JWU falls to 0-3 (0-0 – BRHC Carolina) while VCU improves to 1-1 (0-0 BRHC Atlantic).

On a quick turnaround from Friday’s homecoming game, the Johnson & Wales Hockey Team went on the road to play Virginia Military Institute Saturday.  The Wildcats netted three goals, but that was not enough to defeat VMI as the Keydets won the game by a score of 9-3.

Kalon Foss scored one goal and assisted on another goal for JWU.  Kyle Burke and Marcus Peacock scored one goal each to account for JWU’s total of three goals.

JWU slips to 0-4 on the season and 0-1 in the BRHC Carolina Division.  They return home this weekend to face Coastal Carolina University on Friday, October 24 at the Pineville Ice House at 10:30 PM.
